Monthly Community Update from Sgt Matthew Wells – August 2026

Hello Resident

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through August, I wanted to share a quick round-up of what’s been happening across our local area, what’s coming up, and how we’re working together to keep our community safe and thriving.

🔍 Local Priorities

Our current focus areas include:

· High volume of thefts from shops in Milford Haven

· Community Concerns have been raised in relation to drug activity and associated ASB in the vicinity of Milford Haven

· A range of anti-social behaviour incidents have been reported in Milford Haven

We’re continuing patrols and targeted operations in these areas and welcome any feedback or concerns you’d like to raise.

🤝 Partnership Working

We’ve been working closely with:

Our colleagues in the Response department, helping with Priority issues within the community including preserving scenes of crime

County Council Housing Officers to assist with housing and Community Anti-social issues, in locations such as Haven Drive and The Mount Estate

Joint patrols with the Dog Warden in Neyland

Speed Checks on Honeyborough Road and The Promenade, Neyland.

Milford Haven Port Authority to tackle issues arising in the Milford Marina/ Haven's Head area

County Council Licensing officers and environmental health to work with local establishments following reports of noise pollution in the area

These collaborations are helping us respond more effectively and holistically to community needs.

🗞️ Round-Up from Various Wards

Here’s a snapshot of key updates across our patch:

Central Ward – Targeted patrols and proactively dealing with youths involved in anti-social behaviour in the area. Partnership working with local business to role out the Steal and Be Banned initiative (SABB) in the coming weeks.
